چکیده

According to the 5th assessment report of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), temperature is projected rise over 21st century under all assessed emissions scenarios while precipitation will likely decrease, thus reducing renewable surface water and groundwater resources in most dry subtropical regions such as Morocco. Moreover, projections global circulation models predict a dryer future for North African countries. This work aims assess impact climate variability waterresources coastal sub-basin El Jadida-Safi, located Oum Er-Rbia basin. In order determine by year 2099, we are using SDSM, statisticaldownscaling tool based both observed anthropogenic emission scenario data pessimistic RCP 8.5 optimistic 4.5. Results help decision-makers stakeholders better manage their resources, prepare extreme hydrological hazards, enhance development planning river

Study of pollution in the El Jadida-Safi Atlantic coastal zone (Morocco) by using PIXE and SSNTD methods.

In this work, PIXE experiments were performed for measuring heavy and light elements' (ranging from aluminium to lead) concentrations inside various polluted and unpolluted soils as well as liquid samples collected from different phosphate factory sewers in the El Jadida-Safi Atlantic coastal region (Morocco). In addition, uranium ((238)U) and thorium ((232)Th) contents were evaluated in the sa...

Climate Change and Degradation of Surface Water: Mikkes Basin (morocco)

The Mikkes basin is located at the north centre of Morocco. The yearly approach of the P<2T ratio reveals a very bad monthly distribution of precipitations and a seasonal drought which is apparently observed well after the Eighties era. The extent of the drought can be shown clearly by the strong deficit of the river between the periods 1970-1979 and 1980-2000 which is considerable with around ...

Climate Change and Water Resources Variability in the Tarim River Basin

Water resources availability for meeting reservoir storage, water supply diversion, and environmental instream flow requirements must be assessed based on various premises regarding future water uses as well as climatic and hydrological conditions. This study, therefore, investigates the possible association between climate change and water resources variability, and detects the plausible long-...

Environmental policy and management of freshwater resources in the Haraz-Ghareh Su Basin in comparison to other Caspian sub basins

Haraz-Ghareh Su is one of the seven sub-basins of the Caspian basin, located on the southern shores of the Caspian Sea, and as such, is in danger of water crisis due to absence of proper systematic policy and strategy. In this study, the pressure factors on the Haraz-Ghareh Su water resources were identified using DPSIR model. Then, the pressure parameters on the freshwater resources in the Cas...
